I’ve been offering Mommy & Me Mini Sessions in Newburgh, Indiana for over a decade now. In honor of Mother’s Day, I wanted to spotlight some of the incredible mothers I had the opportunity to work with this year. They are all such amazing mamas and I wanted to share their advice and insight into motherhood. Over the next 10 days I will be sharing a couple mothers, their images and their advice, every day on socials and the blog. My hope is that new and existing moms can either gather advice or feel a little less alone in this crazy thing called motherhood.

What is the best part of motherhood?

The cuddles, laughs at everyday moments and seeing the magic in everyday life through his eyes.

What is the hardest part about being a mother?

The hardest part of being a mom is wanting to give them the very best of yourself while juggling all of life’s other responsibilities.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received about parenting?

Soak every moment in, because it goes by fast.

If you could give a new mother one piece of advice, what would it be?

Just love on those babies every chance that you get, that is one thing you will never regret spending your time on.

MISCHLER

How many children do you have and what are their ages?

I have 3 children. Emmaline (6) Ada Jo (3) and Grant (1)

What is the best part of motherhood?

Everyday! The love, joy and purpose that my kids have brought is something so special to me. Kids are such a gift and I treasure mine everyday.

What is the hardest part about being a mother?

Motherhood has asked more of me than I ever thought I had. I would say the newborn sleepless nights while caring for older siblings all day would top the chart for me (so far). You just get up and do it, no matter what. After that, dropping your first born off at Kindergarten 😭

What is the best advice you’ve ever received about parenting?

Your job is to create good humans while loving them with all you have.

If you could give a new mother one piece of advice, what would it be?

You got this! You don’t have to be perfect. Be present and learn everyday. Your baby is so lucky to have you!
