I shot over 80 newborn sessions this year. Because I’m technically an Evansville IN newborn photographer, I don’t generally shoot anywhere other than Southern Indiana. But that doesn’t mean I’m not willing to – I actually love travel sessions! This year I had the chance to travel a bit – not far, still the Midwest for all of them – but still, out of my normal shooting area and it was a fun change of pace! Don’t get me wrong, I love my little Jennings Station studio, but a change every now and again is fun!
My first traveling session this year was to Cincinnati. I was beyond excited for the opportunity to do this shoot. I’ve been photographing this family for a couple years and they are one of my all-time favorites. I’ve known Clint since middle school, but I didn’t meet Kelsey until our first shoot together a couple years ago. We instantly hit it off and I’ve loved every single session I’ve had with them since!
When Kelsey contacted me and told me she was pregnant again and wanted me to come to Cincinnati for the shoot I was onboard immediately. Every session I have with them is pure magic and it’s like hanging out with old friends.
Kelsey is the most incredible mother and her older daughter Parker and I have become good buddies, too. We bonded over Skittles and it’s been a friendship ever since. (I actually introduced her to Skittles which I personally feel is like a huge life event. So, needless to say, we’re pretty close.)
This session was just like every other with them – simply perfect! Krew slept like a champ, mom and dad were amazing (as always) and Parker was the most wonderful big sister and did everything she was asked to do and more. The pictures still melt me when I look at them! Take a look at just a peek inside their in-home newborn session!
