I’ve been a newborn photographer in Newburgh, IN for nearly seven years. Just saying that makes me feel ancient. In those nearly seven years I have had the pleasure of working with many amazing families. I’ve had the even greater pleasure of working with some of them over and over again. I have had the opportunity to watch families grow from two to three to four and beyond. I’ve been welcomed into their lives at these incredibly special milestones and I’ve had the opportunity to document these special times.
This family right here was one of my early newborn sessions. When I did my first session with them, for their oldest daughter Kennedy’s newborn session, I was working out of clients’ homes. I can so vividly remember going to their home and walking into the nursery they had created and being amazed. Morgan had created this beautiful, ethereal nursery. I walked away from that session knowing that I wanted to work with them again. They were so nice and I so enjoyed getting to know them.
Fast forward to last week and things look a bit different. Between that first session and last week they have welcomed two additional (beautiful!) girls, I have moved studios twice and I have had the opportunity to photograph them over and over. In addition to that, Morgan was my nurse after I had my son, Louie. She is so incredibly good at what she does. It takes a special person to be a nurse and she is perfectly suited for it.
Brynn, their second daughter is in a Mom’s Morning Out program with my son and Kennedy (and her cousin Knox, who I also photograph) were in a previous MMO program with my other son. So I’ve had the additional opportunity to get to see them outside of the studio. They are always dressed so perfectly and ready with a shy “hi” from Kennedy and a boatload of gibberish and hand gestures from Brynn (<— this little girl is just learning to talk and she has so much to say and she says it with such enthusiasm.) All that to say, I am so thankful to have the opportunity to watch this family grow.
