I moved back to Newburgh, IN after two years living in the Twin Cities up in Minnesota. While I loved it up there, I missed the “small town” feel that I was raised with and wanted my future children to have a similar upbringing. So it was back to the Hoosier state, to where I was born and raised, for me and my Minnesota man. Little did I know back then that that “small town” feel would be such a blessing to my business. Being a newborn photographer in Newburgh, IN, this “small town” has shown me that I often have mutual acquaintances with my clients. So, while I may not “know” my clients, we often have friends in common. This was the case with Parker. Parker’s daddy was around the same age as my brother and played basketball for a neighboring high school. If you’ve ever played high school sports, you know that typically means everyone knows everyone. So I knew who Parker’s dad was, but didn’t really know him. I also had never met Parker’s mommy, but had been corresponding with her since she booked her session and I was certain I was going to love working with her.
This sweet family did not disappoint. I spent my morning working with sweet Parker and getting to know not only his momma, but his grandmother, too! They were so fun to talk to and learn about their family. Daddy came along a bit later in the session and it was so nice to catch up with him and hear about what he was up to these days. Seeing this new family of three together and getting to take some of their first photos together was so special. Parker has two parents who just adore him and he is so very blessed.
Here is just a peek into Parker’s session.
